Had a great lunch with the office today at Alfredo's. A gentleman brought his small dog in to the restaurant, which did not sit well with me but after conversing with the owners, found that the dog was certified as a 'therapy dog' and they were required by law to allow it. I'm glad that these dogs help people but other than a guide dog, I see no reason they should be allowed in a restaurant. A person can have their therapy after they eat. I believe that people are taking advantage of this caveat in the law and having their physicians write prescriptions to accommodate their arrogance. But thank you Alfredo for taking the time to let me know the 'whole' story and know that I do not hold you responsible.

Absolutely pleasantly surprised. Had dinner here with my wife for the first time. Service great and personal. Food was really tasty and well prepared. It's a hidden pearl here on Merritt Island. If you are up for some authentic Italian food, this place is highly recommended.

Nice place, great service and excellent food! Split pea soup was amazing and garlic knots were delish and last but not least the eggplant made me go back for seconds. Love to support family business!

Alfredo's is family-run and genuinely Italian. The owners are always present and greet customers. With only one exception I've noted in several years, the wait staff is knowledgable and concerned for the best welfare of the customers. The food is delicious, and a many items can be prepared gluten free.

Authentic Italian food that even my picky REAL italian grandmother likes. Garlic bread knots are delicious and so is the pasta and lasagna. Great place!

I will never eat here again. Several years ago I asked for more salad and the balsamic instead of the cheap vinegar. The owner argued about the size of the salad (I told him I'd pay more, but it was incredibly small) and seemed to have a problem giving me the balsamic. We've never given them business again. Wouldn't recommend. The food never was very good.

The owners yelled at a waitress like she was a child in front of all of the customers in the restaurant. Totally unprofessional. We felt so bad for her. Then to top it off, we had a coupon for $5 off a total of $25 or more. They would not accept it because the nazi like owner said we got a "special". We got the buffet and had no idea it was considered a "special". Our bill was $29. Never mind that I purchased a glass of wine that was up charged 100%or more. He complained that if he honored the coupon he wouldn't "make any money". We won't be back, and you shouldn't go either. These people are not good people.

What a wonderful Italian restaurant - something very different from the everyday big box restaurants. My wife had the Ravioli and I had their Veal Paradiso. Both dishes were delicious. The Ravioli came with a good and savory helping of marinara sauce, while the veal came made to perfection and with a healthy side of pasta mixed with peas and artichoke. For dessert my wife had their chocolate cake and I had one heck of a big piece of cheesecake (drizzled with cherry sauce for effect.) The menu was a wide variety of dishes from Italy, the cooks were Italian, and even our waiter was Italian (and very good.) I will definitely go back again as this is the place to take your loved one for a special meal out.

I was always taught that if you're going to say something negative, precede it with something positive. So I'll start off by saying kudos to the waitress and bus boy who stepped up and covered for our waiter (who seemed completely discombobulated tonight). We were seated at approximately 6:55pm. There were people at roughly 7-8 tables. It took 20 minutes to get water and menus. Our waiter hadn't come to our table, so a very nice waitress came over and covered. Our waiter NEVER returned after he stopped by (an hour into our visit) to read the specials. 2 hours later, our meal was brought out. It tasted great. However, being 9:00at night, we just wanted to leave. The manager came over (there were only 5 tables with people at this point) and asked if it was worth the wait. She offered nothing to compensate for our extraordinarily long wait and poor service. We received the full check with no discount or anything!! We werent looking for a handout (in fact we tipped super-waitress very well). We simply wanted customer service. Finally, after a long discussion with the manager, she DID compensate us on the check. How this management has avoided "Restaurant Impossible," I'll never know.

This restaurant is a joke. How they are staying in business is beyond me. My companion and I ordered paninis. Both came cold in the middle and were so dry they were barely edible. When we complained to the owner she was combative and basically told us nothing was wrong with the sandwich. She did offer to put it in the oven but that is not the purpose of a panini. We asked for marinara sauce to combat the dryness and it came lukewarm at best. So the sauce had to go back to be warmed. We had to wait a long time for the order and when the waitress told us she had made the sandwich then we understood the wait. Have no clue where the chef was. She also pulled apart my friend's sandwich to show how much mayonnaise had been added. From our perspective there was no mayo visible. Also no side was served with the meal. Owners who have no clue about customer service, chefs who do not cook, wait staff who have to do the sandwiches, lack of timely service.... One should get the ides to avoid this place. Also no offer to adjust the bill. I will never go back.

Dinner out like it used to be. No 45 minute wait in the parking lot, we were seated right away. No rush to eat and get out. Excellent Italian food. We'll be back often.

We were familiar with the owners delicious food in 1989 when they were in a local Melbourne Italian Restaurant, but a trip to Merritt Island had us stop by for lunch. We decided on the lunch buffet with Salad, Cheese Pizza, Garlic Knots, Stuffed Shells, Eggplant Rollatini, Italian Roasted Chicken, Meatballs, Italian Sausage and Peppers, Italian Green Beans, and other items. It was delicious and only $8. We added a glass of wine for $4 and the service was excellent! The waitress kept our beverages filled and removed dirty plates immediately. The italian green beans were Delicious! I could have made a meal of those...who needs pasta! We will be headed back when in Merritt Island, because the food was as good as ever!!!!

this place is excellent. It looks bad from the outside but once you get inside the place is excellent. I really like the osso buco. It is in a Northern Italian style with hints of cinnamon and cloves. I was surprised at first, but then I realized how awesome it is.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
